0.5 Pear Syrup*

Method
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake briefly to chill and then double strain into a lowball glass with ice that has been rimmed. Garnish with star anise (or dried pear)
Pear Syrup: 1/2 C water, 1/2 C sugar, 1 pear, cored and cut into pieces, 2 star anise, 2 cinnamon sticks. Heat all ingredients in pan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, cover and steep of 20 minutes. Remove and refrigerate until ready to use.
